Welcome to Wayfound Counselling

Therapy services to help you feel heard, supported, and find your path forward.

Hi there, I’m Abi

Abi, therapist and counsellor in West Cornwall, smiling at the camera outdoors on a beach, wearing a green jacket with a natural background of sand, grasses, and ocean waves.

I am a BACP-registered counsellor and therapist in West Cornwall who really enjoys supporting people to feel heard, improve their emotional wellbeing, build life skills and empower them to feel more confident in facing challenges independently.

Wayfound offers person-centred counselling adapted to your needs, providing an empathetic space to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences without judgement. We work together to help you navigate what you’re going through, look at things from different perspectives and find solutions. Where it feels right for you, we may bring in elements of different approaches and support could even involve practical help such as bringing a form to your session that you want to look at together.

Whatever it is, I want you to feel heard, supported and confident as you come away from our counselling sessions.

What I Offer

Counselling Services in West Cornwall

Counselling in nature, out in the fresh air, along the Cornish coastline around Porthleven and Hayle, where you can feel yourself, calm and unrushed. These sessions can be walk and talk therapy at your own pace or we can find a comfortable spot to sit and talk.

Areas of support

I have experience supporting people with anxiety, depression, exploring past childhood events, emotional regulation, bereavement, life changes and transitions, everyday stress, adoption, cross-cultural and multi-cultural challenges, relationships and communication, self-harm, suicidal ideation, disordered eating, neurodivergence, personal development and life skills such as boundaries and communication, exploring existential questions or those just feeling a bit lost.

How counselling services can help

Counselling can support you to manage life’s everyday challenges, explore the impact of your experiences, work through your feelings and ways of thinking, bring greater self-awareness and understanding, find your own answers from within and improve your overall wellbeing.

Who do I work with?

As a qualified counsellor, I welcome adults of all ages (16+), cultures and backgrounds. I have experience specifically supporting young people and young adults aged 16-25 through youth counselling, as well as adults at all different stages of life. I have previously supported veterans, people at risk of offending and people who belong to more than one culture or live internationally. This is also a welcoming space for LGBTQ+ individuals.

  • “I must admit, I was dubious about walk and talk therapy, however, I am really enjoying it and the space Abi creates feels no different than inside a room! I would highly recommend it to anyone!”
